CTET 2011 Notification by CBSE-Eligibility Test Pattern Application format Last date 15 May 2011

CTET 2011 Notification by CBSE-Eligibility, Test Pattern and Online Application Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be taking Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2011, notification for the purpose of bringing uniform quality in teaching profession across the country. Candidates aspiring to beome teachers at Primary and High School levels must qualify in CTET irespective of their academic qualifications and state level tests for selection of teachers. First CTET will be conducted on 26th June 2011 as per the schedule given below. The candidates securing at least 60 percent marks will be issued CTET Certificate by CBSE. Details of educational qualifications, eligibility, application procedure, syllabus and test pattern of CTET 2011 also described here: Schedule of Examination: 1. Paper I: 26-06-2011 (9-30 AM to 11 AM) – For an aspiring teacher for classes I to V. 2. Paper II: 26-06-2011 (12- 30 PM to 2 PM) – For an aspiring teacher for classes VI to VIII. Educational Qualifications / Eligibility: 1. For Classes I-V: Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45 percent marks and passed or appearing in final 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in Education in Special Education. OR BA/B.Sc. with at least 50 percent marks and B.Ed qualification. 2. For Classes VI-VIII: B.A. /B.Sc passed and passed or appearing in final 2 – year D.Ed. / B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 45 percent marks and passed or appearing in B.Ed / Senior Secondary with at least 50 percent marks and passed or appearing in final 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed. or B.A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.) / B.Ed. (Special Education) with 50 percent in BA or B.Sc. Examination Fee and Application with Information Bulletin Fee: 1. For General/ OBC Category : Rs 500/- 2. For SC/ ST/ Differently Abled Category : Rs 250/- Interested candidates can apply online or in offline method. Application forms with Information Bulletin are available at designated Branches of Syndicate Bank and Institutions specified by CBSE across the country. State wise list of these institutes is available on CBSE website or with official notification on newspapers. Online fee payment and Application has to be submitted through cbse.nic.in . Printed copies of online application / offline applications must reach ‘The Assistant Secretary (CTET), Central Board of Secondary Education, Shiksha Sadan, 17, Rouse Avenue, New Delhi – 110002.
