CBSE and ICSE schools of Andhra are expected to cut short the Christmas or Sankranti holidays as well as to add additional teaching hours to complete the syllabus on time.

 

HYDERABAD: The Telangana bandh on Monday drew a mixed response from city schools. Most of the CBSE and ICSE institutions remained open while the state board schools declared a holiday. Starting Tuesday, most schools are expected to function as usual and have even decided to conduct special classes in the coming days to make up for the lost working days. The schools are also expected to cancel their Christmas/Sankranti holidays and add additional teaching hours to their schedule.

The managements of schools, including Glendale Academy, Rajendranagar, Pallavi Model School, Bowenpally, and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Sainikpuri, announced that their holidays would be cut short. Meridian School, Jubilee Hills, Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, Jubilee Hills, Glendale Academy and Sister Nivedita School, Begumpet, have also decided to conduct special classes on Saturdays or even extend their school timings by one hour.
